Tony is a CPA and Tax Director with the Specialty Tax Team at Creative Planning. Tony is the firm wide leader of the Research and Development Tax Credit team within Creative Planning as well as an expert regarding cryptocurrency taxation and accounting method changes. Tony has almost 30 years of experience helping clients maximize tax saving opportunities and minimize tax liabilities for a wide variety of businesses and individuals.
Outside of work, Tony has devoted much of his time volunteering over the past 20 plus years within the soccer community. He started as the Treasurer of the Johnston Soccer Club (JSC) and became the Treasurer of the Johnston Urbandale Soccer Club (JUSC) upon the merger of Johnston and Urbandale Soccer. Tony is currently the Treasurer of both Sporting Iowa and JUSC as well as the Chairman of Sporting Iowa.
Tony joined the Just One Goal board to help ensure the mission that started within the Johnston Soccer Club to allow every person that wanted a chance to play got that chance. Soccer has meant a great deal to Tony and his family, having three boys go through the program. He has watched first-hand the impact soccer can have with lifelong friendships and the values the game can teach.
