Jeff Smaha

Jeff Smaha is an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of leadership experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Sales and Market Access for Innoviva Specialty Therapeutics, following leadership roles with Innoviva, Merck, and Bayer, where he helped launch innovative therapies, build high-performing commercial organizations, and lead strategic business initiatives.

Outside of his professional career, Jeff has dedicated much of his time to serving the community through youth sports and nonprofit leadership. He was the Founding Chairman of Johnston Urbandale Soccer Club (JUSC) and Sporting Iowa Soccer, organizations that have helped thousands of young athletes and families throughout Central Iowa. He also helped found the KCFAF Scholarship Fund, reflecting his long-standing commitment to creating opportunities for young people.

Jeff founded Just One Goal because he believes every child deserves the opportunity to experience the life lessons youth sports provide—confidence, resilience, teamwork, accountability, and lifelong friendships. He understands that financial barriers can prevent families from accessing those opportunities and is committed to ensuring cost is never the reason a child is left on the sidelines.

Through Just One Goal, Jeff works alongside an outstanding Board of Directors, community partners, volunteers, and our supported soccer clubs to fulfill one simple mission: Every Child Deserves a Chance to Play!
